Established in 2003, IGIA (Indira Gandhi Institute of Aeronautics) and run under the management of Yash Educational Society, having its registered office at III-H/146, Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad, has been a pioneer and trusted name in aviation training in India for over two decades. 2003
Indira Gandhi Institute of Aeronautics is founded.
The vision to help students from all walks of life in making a career in aviation and help the industry meet its requirements of well trained professionals took shape in 2003 from Jaipur. From then onward, the sky is all embracing.
2004
FIRST INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION FOR FLIGHT TRAINING
Our students gain a competitive edge through high-quality flight training made possible by our first international collaboration with a top U.S. flight school.

We also gained invaluable insights to help our students train to the best international standards and follow the best practices worldwide.
2004
CHANDIGARH CENTER OPENS
The rising demand from the aviation industry for well trained professionals and to help students from all across, IGIA Chandigarh, IGIA Ahmedabad, and IGIA Bhopal centers were launched successfully in 2004.
2005
IGIA BECOMES THE FIRST INSTITUTE TO OFFER IN-FLIGHT TRAINING
IGIA became the first institute in India to offer Real In-flight exposure to its students. This pioneering initiative helped the students appreciate the importance and roles and responsibilities of the crew involved in the aviation industry.
2006
PUNE, BANGALORE, CHENNAI CENTERS LAUNCHED
To fulfill the ever increasing demand for well trained professionals from the airlines, we added new centers to our network in Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai in 2006.
2007
FIRST UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION & AMADEUS
To equip our students to launch and then advance in their aviation careers, we collaborated with our first university partner Punjab Technical University in 2007 as well as partnered Amadeus. It helps our students in gaining both academic excellence and hands-on industry training.
2008-16
EXPANDED INTERNATIONAL TRAINING & PLACEMENTS OPTIONS
IGIA expanded global opportunities for our students by forming flight training partnerships in 6 countries. We also collaborated with international organizations for international placement opportunities for our students.

With our industry-aligned syllabus and top-notch modules, we got opportunity to guide colleges on BVoC programs and shaping university aviation curricula that prepare students for real-world careers i aviation.
2017 +
OPERATIONS CONSOLIDATED IN DELHI
With Delhi emerging as the hub of aviation industry in India, IGIA consolidated its network in Delhi in 2017 and has taken a leading position as the most preferred aviation training institute in Delhi along with Chandigarh.

IGIA became the first ground school to introduce Sim sessions to pilot ground class students.
